Take a Caribbean Vacation

As I’ve stated before I love to relax on the beach when I finally have a chance to get away from work and take a vacation. And I am honestly satisfied with pretty much any beach you can imagine as long as it is clean and warm.

To be honest though the best place I have ever vacationed to would have to be the Caribbean. It is simply beautiful. The beaches are gorgeous, the people are extremely friendly and the service through out the entire trip was absolutely tremendous. On our trip my wife and I ended up staying at the Dreams Dominican Republic, an all inclusive resort and spa in La Romana. I had never been on a vacation that was all inclusive so it was a completely new experience for me. I have to say though, I’m kind of spoiled now. Everything was taken care of. We could walk into a restaurant on the resort, order anything we wanted (including drinks), and just get up and leave when we were finished. Nothing was extra, not even tips.

How did we decide on the Caribbean?

When my wife first mentioned a Caribbean vacation I was a little hesitant because I thought it would be way out of budget. But after looking through a few Cheapcaribbean reviews I soon realized that it was more than affordable. I actually realized that it was going to be cheaper than a domestic get away. Being the cheap guy that I am I agreed after seeing the price and a few months later we were relaxing on the beach in the middle of January, pretty nice huh?

Neither of us had ever traveled internationally so I was pretty worried about that as well. Again, to my surprise, the travel and security wasn’t bad at all. The only stressful moment was in Miami getting back into the country.

So to anyone whom is on the fence about going on a Caribbean getaway I say just do it! It will be an experience you will remember forever and you will already be planning your next trip on the plane ride home.

See you there!
